Cryptorchid Castration – Additional Notes

Cryptorchid castration may also be performed using laparoscopic minimally invasive techniques.

Note that cryptorchidism is a genetic trait and should be treated with bilateral castration to prevent reproduction. I recommend to remove the cryptorchid testis first to ensure it is removed (it can be difficult to locate) before you remove the descended testis which is otherwise the only evidence that the animal is still intact.
