Liver Biopsy
Liver biopsies are obtained to confirm or rule-out liver disease. In patients with generalized disease or with a grossly normal liver, one or more biopsy samples are taken from the edge of the most accessible liver lobes. In patients with focal lesions, a representative sample should be collected.
