Canine Ovariohysterectomy Procedure
The patient is positioned in dorsal recumbency. The patient should be clipped, prepped and draped from xiphoid to pubis to ensure that you can easily extend your incision in case of emergency (e.g. uncontrolled hemorrhage). The width of the clip should be to the level of the mammary chain or beyond.
